Each Player will be assigned a number. Upon arrival you will check in and be directed to the warm up area, then to a field to be evaluated. Parents are not allowed inside/near the field while Tryouts are in progress. All evaluations are recorded based on the numbers assigned at registration.
Our tryouts will be administered by Optimize and Abby Rehberger. Optimize is not affiliated with any club or organization. They will provide data to WBAFSA that will assist in the formation of teams.
Tryouts will be very similar to last years tryouts with total points available equal between offense and defense. Pitching and Catching will look a little bit different. For Pitching, 10U will be doing primarily fast balls looking for strikes and 12-14 U will be asked to hit corners, throw fast balls and then get an opportunity to throw a few additional pitches if they have them. All speeds of strikes will be recorded for all ages. For catching we will be evaluating receiving the ball, Throwdowns, arm speed and accuracy, blocking and fielding a bunt.

Tryouts are an evaluation of a player's skill level. We need to evaluate players so we can make up teams that have the best chance for success. It is important to note that teams will be determined based on a combination of rank, attitude, commitment level, and effort.
If for an unavoidable reason (illness, religion, or school conflict) a player cannot attend the primary evaluation night, the player must notify the association in advance. Please contact Carrie Rivard.
