***DIBS has changed this season***

DIBS are White Bear Fastpitch's requirement of all Families to complete volunteer hours per Season.  The success of our program relies heavily on member volunteers to help with Field maintenance/preparation, concessions, and other one off needs during the season.  Please participate in this effort to support the athletes and our community.

  • 10u, 12u, 14u families: 8 hours per player with a maximum of 16 hours per family. (note: anyone over the age of 14 can complete the hours for the family)
  • 8u families: 2 hours per player with a maximum of 4 hours per family.
  • Failure to complete the required volunteer hours result in DIBS fees being billed at $400 per player with a $800 maximum per family ($100/$200 max for 8u).
  • During Registration, families will be required to EITHER accept the DIBS commitment OR pay the DIBS fee in advance as part of the athlete registration.
  • The association will not collect checks, instead we will bill via SportEngine at the end of the season, if the hours are not completed by July 21st.

Coaches/Manager DIBS Exemption:

The coaches/manager for each team receive a total of 24 hours toward their DIBS requirements. The coaching team must decide how to divide the hours (ex. 8 hours each to head coach and 2 assistants, 6 hours each to head coach, 2 assistants, and 1 manager, etc.) and communicate the decision to the Treasurer.

Board Member Exemption:

DIBS hours of board members are not formally tracked as they contribute beyond the maximum requirement per family through fulfilling their roles on the board year round.

Fall DIBS Information

DIBS are White Bear Fastpitch's requirement of all Families to complete volunteer hours each Season.  For us to be able to host games in town, on our home fields, we need to provide concessions and have field maintenance.  The success of our program relies heavily on member volunteers to help with these items during the season.  Most members find it enjoyable to socialize with other like-minded families and it's fun to meet new people!  Please participate in this effort to support the athletes and our community.  Also remember YOU don't have to do the DIBS hours.  Family members, grandpas, grandmas, neighbors, (they just need to be 14 years old or older) etc. can help.

  • 10u, 12u, 14u families: 6 hours per player with a maximum of 12 hours per family.
  • 8u families: 2 hours per player with a maximum of 4 hours per family.
  • DIBS buyout fees for fall are:
    • 10U-14U: $300 per athlete, $600 max per family.
    • 8U: $200 per athlete, $400 max per family.
  • Families who do not complete all of their DIBS hours will be sent an Invoice if the hours are not completed by the last game/tournament of the season. It will not be prorated, it will be all or nothing.  If you have unforeseen circumstances that are preventing you from completing these,  please reach out to Carrie Rivard to discuss. We hope that members make every effort to complete these. Waiting until the last minute to schedule and not finding hours will not be taken as an excuse for them not being completed.   DIBS availability will fill quickly so plan accordingly!
  • Families are reqired to accept the DIBS volunteer commitment or pay the DIBS buyout in advance as part of the athlete registration.
