About the program
Fall Ball is HERE! The fall program provides an opportunity for new players to learn about the game, gain experience playing fastpitch and just plain have fun. This is also the season when returning players move into different age groups
Games
All 10U and up will be doubleheaders
10U - Saturdays
12U-14U - Sundays
Game times are 12:00 and 1:30 or 3:00 and 4:30 and have time limits of 65 minutes.
8U games are played on SATURDAYS, game time tbd
This is fall ball so we will play rain or shine (hopefully not snow). In inclement conditions, Umpires and Coaches will assess safety and field conditions. Because of the season, we cannot schedule make-up games, so we will try hard to play all the games scheduled.
This is a great chance for girls that are thinking about the traveling program to experience the competition traveling without the financial and long-term commitment.
Practice
Players are expected to be available for practices multiple times during the week prior to the season starting to prepare for each week's games.
8U, 10U and 14U will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
12U & 16U will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Practices begin mid August.
Coaches
WBAFSA utilizes volunteer parent coaches. We will be looking for 1 Head coach and 1-2 Assistant coaches per team. The President along with the tryout committee will determine the Head Coach of each team. The Head Coach will assist in helping to determine who the assistant coaches are. If you are interested in coaching please indicate this on your player's registration. Also, if you are interested in Head coaching, this fall, you'll need to fill out a coach application here.

Tryouts will begin between 4:30 and 6 pm depending on the day and age group (times coming soon)
All tryouts will be held at Otter Lake Elementary Softball Fields.

These Tryouts will also determine the 10U A team and 12-18U Elite teams, which practice and play for the entire upcoming year from Fall through the Summer season.

DIBS
DIBS are White Bear Fastpitch's requirement of all Families to complete volunteer hours each Season. For us to be able to host games in town, on our home fields, we need to provide concessions and have field maintenance. The success of our program relies heavily on member volunteers to help with these items during the season. Most members find it enjoyable to socialize with other like-minded families and it's fun to meet new people! Please participate in this effort to support the athletes and our community. Also remember YOU don't have to do the DIBS hours. Family members, grandpas, grandmas, neighbors, (they just need to be 14 years old or older) etc. can help.
8U Families have a requirement to volunteer 2 hours during the Fall Season or buy out of volunteering for $200. (There is a family max of 4 hours or $400)
10U-14U Families have a requirement to volunteer 6 hours during the Fall Season or buy out of volunteering for $300. (There is a family max of 12 hours or $600)

Registration
Online registration opened July 9th and will remain open through Friday August 2nd . Please go to the registration tab to register your player.
Elite teams 12U - 18U will be notified a few days after all tryouts are completed and must give commitment within 24 hours. They will be invoiced a $400 commitment fee that is nonrefundable.
