The summer season runs from very late March/early April to July with tryouts being held in February. 

Teams will practice and/or play games 2 weeknights (8U, 10U, 14U on Tuesday/Thursdays, Advanced 8U/12U on Monday/Wednesdays) and play in 4-5 weekend tournaments. Some teams will also participate in the NAFA Nationals tournament. 

We will put teams together at the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U level this summer. Information below pertains to 10U-14U. 8U/Advanced 8U information can be found on the 8U Information page.

Tryouts                                                                                                                               

Sunday, February 23rd , 2025 at North Campus FIELDHOUSE.  Specific times for each age group will be communicated after registration closes. Check out the Tryout page here.   We will also do uniform fittings at this time.  

League                                                                                                                               

White Bear Fastpitch is a member of the Tri-county League. Teams will play half of their league schedule in White Bear Lake and the other half of their league schedule at the home fields of their opponent. All game scheduling is handled through Tri-county and not WBAFSA.

Tournament Schedule                                                                                                        

Teams will play in 3-weekend association tournaments (including the Bears Classic), as well as the State Qualifier, and the State Tournament (if the team qualifies). The association tournaments are selected by the coaches and will be anytime from early May-mid June. State Qualifier and state tournament information is below.

10U/12U (B, C teams) In addition to the tournaments below, coaches will each select one additional weekend tournament of their choice.

10U/12U (A teams) Additional in town and out of town tournaments are scheduled - check with coaches for details

14U (B, C teams) Coaches will each select additional weekend tournaments of their choice.

8U/10U/12U (B,C teams)  Anoka Devil Tournament  May 16-18, 2025  (some but not all teams play on Friday)

10U/12U B & C teams)  White Bear Classic June 6-8 White Bear Lake (some but not all teams play on Friday)

8U Centennial League Tourney June xx Centennial  (may include mid-week games)

10U/12U (A,B,C teams)  State Qualifiers June xx Locations vary (usually no more an hour from WBL)

10U/12U (A,B,C teams) State Tournament Junexx Locations vary (most qualify by winning one tournament game - locations from Rochester to St. Cloud)

DIBS-Volunteer Requirements                                                                                           

DIBS are White Bear Fastpitch's requirement of all Families to complete volunteer hours per Season.  The success of our program relies heavily on member volunteers to help with Field maintenance/preparation, concessions, and other one off needs during the season.  Please participate in this effort to support the athletes and our community. 

If you, as a family member, are unable to fulfill the required hours yourself, there is flexibility. Other family members aged 14 or older can help meet the volunteer commitment. 

• 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u families: 8 hours per player with a maximum of 16 hours per family. 

• 8u families: 4 hours per player with a maximum of 8 hours per family.

During Registration, families will be required to EITHER accept the DIBS commitment OR pay the DIBS buyout fee in advance as part of the athlete registration.

MANDATORY Player/Parent Meeting                                                                              

There will be a mandatory player/parent meeting on March 25th 6pm-8pm.  This is an informational meeting about the upcoming season.  Please ensure someone from your family is at this meeting.  This meeting is for all levels playing for the White Bear Area Fastpitch Association. There will be a check-in desk and you will be picking up your candy bars at this meeting.
