The coaches corner is a place to enhance your sports education. The goal of this area is to assist you in developing better players and better people for future success at whatever level you might be at. Our goal is for you to learn one new thing each time you visit this section.

Drill of the Month: |

Last Hitter Standing This is a great competitive drill for your whole softball team. Each batter gets one ball from the machine. She has to hit a ground ball or line drive to stay in the game. If she hits a fly out, fouls it off, or completely misses she is out and has to run (or do abs or pushups, depends on what kind of conditioning you want to do) until there is 1 batter left.
If she is unsuccessful, she has to quickly drop her bat and helmet and start doing the conditioning. Make sure that the rotation of the hitters moves quickly. |

2010 Summer Coaching Applications now being taken |
|
|
Applications for coaching in the WBAFSA for summer 2010 all age levels are now being taken. We would like these to be submitted by December 31. Selection will be some time after that. We would like coaches to be able to attend a coaches clinic/instruction before the season starts. Please return forms to Dan Herzog per the instructions on the form, located here and in the Forms Link on the left.

2010 Spring Coaches Clinics
S&C Sports Services in conjunction with MMFL will once again be putting on several coaching clinics this spring for advanced coaches as well as beginner coaches. These clinics will be between 2 and 3 hours long. The cost will be only $20.00 per person. Each clinic will have a special guest clinician to assist Sean Hall. Each coach will receive a packet with information on the clinic topics. If you would like to host a clinic please contact Sean Hall at (651)336-8020 or email SeanH1122@aol.com . The clinics will be on Sunday’s as well as possibly some Wednesday nights in March and April. Times and locations will be announced soon on this page.
